FSU Department of Art BFA ’09 Rachel Rossin’s exhibition Lossy, that ran from October 15-Novemeber 14th, 2015 at Zither Smith & Horton was reviewed by several publications, including Artforum, the New York Times, and the Huffington Post.


Dr. Zerric Clinton was named the 2015 Secondary Art Educator of the Year by the Georgia Art Education Association (GAEA). This award recognized Dr. Clinton as being the Best in State.


Professor Paul Niell of the FSU Department of Art History received two grants in 2015 for summer research in Puerto Rico: a grant from the Committee on Faculty Research Support (COFRS) in the Council on Research and Creativity at FSU and a Franklin Research Grant from the American Philosophical Society.


Department of Interior Architecture and Design students Abby Kern and Cameron Robb will spend spring break in New York City, a trip earned for their winning entries in the Kravet Residential Design Competition.


Florida State University’s School of Dance will present ASHES OF BEAUTY, the second of three MFA concerts in the current season, on February 5-6, 2016 at 8:00pm.


The Lincoln Center Theatre has recently announced that Tony Award® nominee and Florida State University School of Theatre alum Montego Glover (BFA Music Theatre, 1996) will be joining the cast of Marco Ramirez’s The Royale.


The formLab has been using its experience and expertise to advise local schools and individuals with small budgets on which 3D printers they should consider.


The Class of 2016 at the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training made their Asolo Repertory Theatre debuts during the January productions of “All the Way”, “Living on Love” and “Ah, Wilderness!”


MANCC and McKnight Foundation Partnership Artist Emily Johnson will return to FSU and the Tallahassee area for a MANCC residency to work on her current project, “Then a Cunning Voice and a Night We Spend Gazing at Stars.”


The Museum of Fine Arts takes great pride in hosting a major exhibition of works by Cuban artists selected by Guest Curator Segundo Fernandez, “Cuban Art in the Twentieth Century: Cultural Identity and the International Avant Garde.” This exhibition will run from February 12 to March 12, 2016.


The Ringling presents two exhibitions of truly spectacular objects that bring the rich complexity of world cultures to the US, “Samurai: The Way of the Warrior” and “Ink, Silk and Gold: Islamic Art from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.”
