Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the reappointment to the Board of Architecture and Interior Design of J. Emory Johnson of Tallahassee. Johnson, is the owner of J. Emory Johnson Interior Design Consultants Inc, Dean’s Advisory Board member for the College of Visual Arts, Theatre and Dance and on the Presidents Society Honor Roll of Donors at Florida State University.
He is reappointed for a term beginning December 18, 2013, and ending October 31, 2017. The Board of Architecture and Interior Design serves as the state regulatory board for the practice of approximately 9,000 licensed architects and interior designers registered in the State of Florida.
The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate. In addition to volunteer service to the State of Florida Johnson serves as Past Chair of the Dean’s Advisory Board of the Florida State University College of Visual Arts, Theater & Dance, Florida’s delegate to the Council of Interior Design Qualification and as a board member of the Bainbridge, Georgia Samaritan Counseling Center.
