Reminder: FSU Parking Permits – Going Virtual (Action Required by May 1)

Published April 28, 2015
A message from FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY
This message has been approved by Matthew Inman, Director of Transportation & Parking Services for distribution to all Students, Faculty and Staff.

This is a reminder that all FSU parking permits must be associated with a vehicle’s license plate, rather than the traditional windshield sticker or taglet, beginning May 1, 2015.  All students, faculty and staff must register their vehicle information by April 30, 2015 to avoid receiving a parking citation.  All current Student (W), Faculty/Staff (R, RP) and Dean/Director/Departmental (DP) parking permits will become invalid without an associated vehicle registered to the permit on May 1, 2015.   Note:  No action is needed for motorcycle or scooter permit holders, as a valid “MC” parking sticker will continue to be required.  Also, existing Faculty/Staff gate cards and clickers will continue to work.

To register your vehicle

  1. Collect your vehicle information (license plate number, vehicle year, make and model)
  2. Go to https://transportation.fsu.edu/ebusiness/cmn/auth.aspx
  3. Log in with your FSUID and password
  4. Click on View Your Permits
  5. Click the Permit Number
  6. Review the information listed in Associated Vehicles
  7. If the vehicle information listed under Associated Vehicles is incorrect, either select a vehicle to edit or click Add Vehicles to Permit to enter a new vehicle.  Please note: In some cases, the vehicle you attempt to register may already be in our system – it’s just not associated with your account yet.  If this happens, the system will not allow you to associate the vehicle with your permit.  Please contact Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) if this occurs and we will add the plate to your account for you.
  8. After completion, your vehicle information will be listed under the Associated Vehicles section.

Please contact Transportation & Parking Services (TAPS) if you encounter any difficulties registering your vehicle(s) or if you have questions.  You can contact TAPS at 644-5278, via email at transportation@fsu.edu, or visit us at our office (located in the Woodward Parking Garage, in the FSUCard Center).  TAPS representatives and computer kiosks are available at the TAPS office Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM.

Note: Students, faculty and staff who are not using payroll deduction will need to order a 2015-2016 virtual parking permit beginning August 14, 2015.
