Gadsden Arts Center Founding Director Zoe Golloway will preside over the Awards Ceremony for the 26th Art in Gadsden in celebration of the Center’s 20th anniversary as an organization. The exhibition, selected from hundreds of entries by committee, will present 111 works of art by 87 artists. Award-winning art work will be selected by juror Ljiljana Obradovic-Edmiston, an accomplished artist and Professor of Art at Tallahassee Community College and Florida State University. Mediums represented include watercolor, oil and acrylic paintings, drawings with pen and ink, sculptures created from wood and glass, batik and photographs and digital illustration.
This exhibition provides a unique opportunity for you to collect original art by your favorite artists or give original art as holiday gifts! Out of Pocket presents affordably priced small and original art, in a wide range of mediums, subjects and styles.
At Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University’s exhibition for graduating seniors, Candace Allen’s collection speaks of her home in Gadsden County. Allen’s work conveys her story of “who we are and where we came from” through the medium of layered and cut paper.
