The FSU Art History faculty and graduate students hosted the Thirty-First Annual Art History Graduate Student Symposium on October 18 & 19, 2013.
Graduate students from around the country presented a variety of compelling research papers in three sessions on Friday afternoon, October 18 and Saturday, October 19. The papers will be considered for inclusion in Athanor, an internationally-distributed journal published by the Department of Art History as a project of the Museum of Fine Arts Press in the College of Visual Arts, Theatre, & Dance.
This year’s Keynote Speaker was Magali Carrera, Chancellor Professor of Art History at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. The annual symposium keynote lecture is part of the Vincent and Mary Agnes Thursby Lecture Series, which supports public talks by eminent art historians throughout the year.
