MFA Student MANDEM Going to Valdosta National 2013

The College of Visual Arts, Theatre and Dance wishes to congratulate one of our MFA students MANDEM (aka M. Arendsee), for being accepted into juried Valdosta National 2013. MANDEM invites fellow Florida State University students and faculty to attend the public reception at Valdosta State University on:

Monday, January 14, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

In addition to the Valdosta National 2013 show, MANDEM’s work is hanging in the Arnica Artist Run Centrein Kamloops, British Columbia, the “Cyborgs and Posthuman Culture” exhibit which beings next month, and currently has two works hanging in the Gadsden Arts Center as part of the “Out of Pocket” exhibit.

MANDEM has been published in many different art journals and magazines including:


–       Interview in Issue 3 of The Weekenders Magazine

–       The Lunch Ticket literary journal

–       Interview in the Penduline Press

MANDEM is also a featured artist at the newly developed Art on Campus Initiative with artwork hanging in Wescott through May.
