3D Foundations Presents Inflatable Architecture Projects

Published September 11, 2012

Students in Anne Stagg’s 3D Foundations class will present their first projects on Monday, September 17th from 12:50 until 3:20 pm in the courtyard on the Tennessee Street side of the Fine Arts Building. This project, introduced by new faculty Kevin Curry, requires the students to work collaboratively to create a structure entirely out of plastic bags that can be inflated using only a box fan. Each structure must be large enough to fit a dozen people inside at a time!

Feel free to stop by the FAB courtyard to check out the results. If you can’t make it during that time, we will post photos here sometime later that week, so be sure to check back!

Earlier examples of this project are provided below courtesy of Kevin Curry.
