Please join the Department of Art Education on Friday, June 1st from 9:00am to 3:00pm for Designing Comprehensive Curriculums & Drawing Dirty Pictures, a workshop lead by Dr. Olivia Gude.
Join Dr. Olivia Gude to explore how you can develop artistically satisfying and educationally credible frameworks for planning K-12 art education curriculum in today’s diverse contemporary culture. The Bricolage Comprehensive Curriculum formulation eschews the notion of foundational curriculum, instead advancing a conception of comprehensive curriculum—comprehensive defined as “covering many eventualities.” Additionally, this FREE workshop includes methods for generating ideas and images with sometimes reluctant students, identifying and developing content, beginning making art without a preconceived plan, engaging in composition experimentation, and creating meaningful closure activities through peer exchange.
Seats are limited; please RSVP to jbroome@fsu.edu OR skshields@fsu.edu.
