On March 25 and 26, School of Dance MFA candidates, Annette Barcelona and Alyssa Morris, will present Le Passage du Temps, in partial fulfillment of The Master of Fine Arts Degree in Dance.
Annette Barcelona will present three ballet works illustrating ‘the passage of time’ in reference to the evolution of Ballet: from it’s Romantic roots, through it’s twentieth century Neoclassical surge and into the current Contemporary landscape. Portal, a video dance by Alyssa Morris, delves into the complex nature of social isolation via cinematic narration techniques.
Alyssa Morris and Tim Glenn will hold a pre-show discussion in Studio 216 (Montgomery Hall), open to the public prior to both evening shows, beginning at 7:15pm. Alyssa will dialogue her thesis research and together they will expound upon the growing, cutting edge field of video dance.
