This spring as part of the Thursby Visiting Scholar Lecture Series the Department of Art History is pleased to host Patricia Mainardi, professor of art history at the Graduate Center, City University of New York. Professor Mainardi will present “Spreading the News: The Invention of the Illustrated Press in the Nineteenth Century” on Thursday, April 7 at 6:00 pm in room G40 WJB.
Professor Mainardi specializes in 18th- and 19th-century European and American art. She has taught at Harvard University, Princeton University and Williams College, and is currently a Visiting Distinguished Professor at Beijing Jiaotong University.
