Event Details

The Department of Art Education invites you to visit and experience the current William Johnston Gallery exhibition, Visual Cartographic Explorations of a High School Art Room Assemblage: A Dissertation by Jennifer Hamrock.

Based on Art Education doctoral student Jennifer Hamrock’s dissertation, the artworks displayed in the exhibition encompass graduate coursework, visual workings through ideas of Hamrock’s research, the early stages of the dissertation, and works from her dissertation study– “the process of an explorative journey.” Hamrock included text from her dissertation to highlight conceptual, theoretical, and methodological underpinnings, as well as a brief summary of her findings.

The exhibition will be available for view from February 5th until February 25th. Everyone is invited to attend the closing reception on February 23rd, from 5:00PM – 7:00PM. It will provide a valuable opportunity to meet Hamrock, see her amazing work, and be in great company!
