Artist Statement

I am interested in the unique variability that exists through repetition and the relationship that all the varied objects in turn have with each other. In order to understand why and how differences stem from objects (all created with similar intentions, processes, and aesthetics), I continually create and recreate them. Repetition provides me with greater awareness of how the objects behave, are created, and how elements of the objects tend to differ, and in turn lead to a more unique object amongst all of the other iterations. The differences, similarities, and juxtaposition of these objects allow me to see and interpret new relationships and understandings among the objects and the people from which the work stems.
