226273_1025289798837_8767_nWe are pleased to announce that this year’s Transdiscplinary Research in Emotion Neuroscience and Development (TREND) artist-in-residence will be national artist, Holly Hanessian. Holly works in many media. Her current project involves understanding how connections between people develop using hand holding for long enough that oxytocin is released as a gateway. Understanding neural mechanisms associated with this Touch in Real Time project will be a feature of her visit.
Highlights of Holly’s visit will include a TREND lecture on her work including the Touch in Real Time project, Friday May 3, 2pm, Loffler building

121 Meyran Ave Pittsburgh, PA 15213
(Between Forbes and Fifth above the Pitt Bookstore, on the right as you’re walking on Meyran from Forbes to Fifth)

All are welcome to join in on what’s to be a very interesting discussion. Holly  will be investigating neural features associated with hand holding using ambulatory EEG while clay impressions of handshakes are taken. If you would like to volunteer or sit in on a session please let Lisa Stupar ( know.
