The advisory board for the Department of Interior Architecture + Design met in Tallahassee on March 23rd and 24th. The board supports the department both financially and by opening doors and providing opportunities for faculty and students. During the 2016-2017 academic year, the department was fortunate to have an alumni event in Chicago during NeoCON hosted by board member Vicki duVuono of Interface, another alumni event in Atlanta hosted by Genevieve Janelle of Steelcase, and a student competition arranged by board member Frank Cauce and sponsored by Kravet. Interface also sponsored the department’s annual charrette. Margaret Douglass provided financial support to faculty member Karen Myers, who organized the student summer trip to Ringling. Many of the board members offer financial support which provide scholarships and travel money to the department. New board members include Les Cole from Wolf Gordon and Lesley Zitone from 3form. Bobby Johnston of WB Interiors in Atlanta chairs the board. The department thanks the advisory board for all of its support.
