Intersections: Art Meets Science

The Art Across All Ages exhibition in January is titled: “Intersections: Art Meets Science.” Over time, art and science have interacted in various ways — sometimes art affected science and sometimes science affected art. Sometimes the effect was and is mutual. For example cat scans would not have been thinkable or possible without the development of photography which in turn relied on the previous use of the camera obscura by artists dating back to the Renaissance.

All secondary teachers in Leon County were invited to submit student artwork in any medium and any style. All work in this secondary level student display reflects the intersection of art and science in some way.

Intersections runs from Wednesday, January 2nd through Sunday, January 27th in the Museum of Fine Arts.
