School of Theatre Associate Professor and Music Director/Conductor, Tom Ossowski, was recently featured in Tallahassee Democrat. Amanda Sieradski of COCA writes:
Large production values have become Ossowski’s specialty, and he admits to being fairly adept at running a “big ship.” His not-so-secret weapon is communication, and knowing how to be assertive in creating a concept that excites everyone. With a clear destination in mind, he is always open to team members’ suggestions and ideas.
Ossowski is directing the upcoming School of Theatre production, “Legally Blonde: The Musical,” which will run February 12 – 28, 2016.
“’Legally Blonde’ gets rapped on for being a simple, stupid story, and it’s not at all once you get into it,” says Ossowski. “We came to the realization that Elle is very smart. She’s just blinded at times by bad love or the wrong love, but the real story is Elle realizing there’s more to life, and it’s helping other people.”
