Escape – mixed media

“My work explores my willingness to share part of my imagination. The story of Peter Pan has always fascinated me, and the concept of never growing up and living in a world filled with adventure and innocence is the inspiration for my project. My fantasy world is a refuge from the problems of life, an escape from the real world itself. Times are tough and I think it becomes harder and harder for people to remain optimistic. Sometimes we all need an escape, not necessarily a real vacation, but an imaginary place that will make us feel better. My offering of a single teacup is a personal way to invite others to join my act of imagining. Once they enter this fantasy world, it is up to them to think of what is going to happen next.”
