Description
The Technical Web Developer will assist the College of Fine Arts College Communications Specialist in the design, development, maintenance and troubleshooting of Web-related systems and technologies. He or she also works as a liaison to both, College IT team and University ITS, to ensure Web systems appropriately integrate, as well as, meet specifications.
Responsibilities
(Minimum) Daily Duties
- Provides customized solutions and troubleshooting to the College of Fine Arts faculty & staff of web related requests
- Actively participates in the customization of email marketing materials
- Assists College Communications Specialist by implementing web-based solutions and strategies
- Assists College IT team to ensure security of all web systems
- Implement updates and monitor back-end performance of all College websites
- Investigates new and innovative design, software, and technologies and report findings to College Communications Specialist
- Track College website analytics and create reports as requested
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Programming: HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
- Content Management Systems: WordPress
- WordPress directory FTP navigation and editing – themes, plugins, updates
- Accessibility and Usability Guidelines for Web and Electronic Media**
- Design: Adobe CS
Preferred
- Programming: PHP, JavaScript
- Web Packages: PhpMyAdmin, Xampp or Lampp
- Word and Software Documentation
- Databases: MySQL, RSS or XML, and Relational concepts
Anticipated Salary Range
$13 an hour
Schedule
Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM
Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
