On Tuesday, March 29th at 6:30 p.m., Opening Nights will host a Creative Conversations panel discussion in the FSU Alumni Center Ballroom. Breaking Boundaries: Women in the Performing Arts is the last Creative Conversations panel for the 2015-2016 season. It will focus on the remarkable work and experiences of talented, local female artists in the performing arts community.
Ansje Burdick, Managing Director for the Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography at The School of Dance will moderate the event and also serve as a panelist. Ansje Burdick has supported over 30 nationally-renowned performing artists since joining MANCC in 2010 and is a vital part in the day to day workings of MANCC.
The panel will also include Sarah Mac, who is one-third of The Sarah Mac Band, a soulful blues and folk musical act, Heidi Williams, Associate Professor of Piano at the FSU College of Music, and Avis Berry, who is a jazz vocalist and library techncian for the College of Music Library.
