Zach Cramer
Sound Designer
School of Theatre
Zach Cramer joined the staff of the School of Theatre in November of 2009 as their Sound Designer. Although he was born in Wooster, Ohio, he considers himself a native of Tallahassee. Prior to joining the School of Theatre, Zach worked as a multi-media specialist for over eight years. His experience includes multimedia production and budgeting for video, graphic, and especially sound design. He has been involved with theatre for over nineteen years and has since designed over 75 productions. Selected design credits include The Who’s Tommy, Peter Pan, Ragtime, Seussical The Musical, The Full Monty, The Secret Garden, Nine (winner 2008 FTC, 2009 SETC and advanced to national AACT), Titanic, and The Producers with Theatre Tallahassee and Theatre a la Carte. Work with Florida State School of Theatre includes RENT, The Drowsy Chaperone, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Full Monty, The Seagull, How to Succeed in Business, Spring Awakening, and Spamalot. Zach has also worked as a media consultant and has collaborated with other sound and video system professionals designing and installing systems for auditoriums, non-for-profits, sporting venues and businesses. For over ten years he has been heavily involved with local community theatre. He is grateful to live, work and volunteer in a community that advocates for the arts.
