The Department of Interior Architecture and Design recently released placement rates for their 2013 graduates. Of the 50 students who graduated in 2013, 95% of undergraduates and 100% of graduate students were employed within six months of graduation. Eleven students were accepted to graduate programs in interior design or architecture, a 100% placement rate.
The demand for Florida State University interior design graduates is coming from all around the country. Employers cite FSU graduates strong preparation, especially in creative thinking, design process, computer technologies, and studio projects that are varied and grounded in research. Firms attribute FSU’s success to strong faculty/student interaction and mentoring, as well as the excellent preparation students receive.
This placement rate is a tribute to the hard work of our faculty and students—we are thrilled to see our students excel.
