Dr. Rosal is a Past-chairperson of the Art Education Department and Director of the Art Therapy Program at FSU. Dr. Rosal has over 35 years of art therapy practice, written extensively in art therapy journals, contributed chapters in several edited volumes, and most recently co-edited the Wiley Handbook of Art Therapy.
In honor of Dr. Rosal’s tireless dedication to the university and field of art therapy and in celebration of her retirement, FSU Department of Art Education is establishing the Marcia L. Rosal Fund for Art Therapy.
I have been teaching art therapy students for 34 years and I feel like each student is like a gift. I have learned so much from all of them collectively and individually. Working with students is the part of the job I will really miss.
-Marcia L. Rosal
The Marcia L. Rosal Fund for Art Therapy will serve to support students pursuing a degree in Art Therapy, including student research, conference presentation and attendance, professional association membership, and merit-based awards. In addition to honoring Dr. Rosal, the fund is particularly important to Florida State University as the first dedicated to Art Therapy.
Make a gift today to support Art Therapy at FSU and honor the career of Dr. Marcia L. Rosal.
