School of Theatre Alumnus Returns as Part of Opening Nights

On March 21, 2016, School of Theatre Alumnus André Holland returns to FSU as part of the Opening Nights Festival as a reader for Selected Shorts. Selected Shorts is a weekly public radio show broadcast on over 130 stations to about 300,000 listeners and is produced by Symphony Space and WNYC Radio and distributed by Public Radio International. The Selected Shorts podcast, featuring a theme and a variety of stories for every episode, consistently ranks as one of the most popular podcasts on iTunes.

André graduated from FSU in 2001 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. Since graduating, he has appeared in the films Selma, 42, and Bride Wars and on television in Law & Order, Burn Notice, and 1600 Penn.
