Directed by Fred Chappell
The School of Theatre will close it’s 2015-2016 season with a presentation of Hedda Gabler.
Hedda, the daughter of an aristocratic General, dreams of freedom and escape. Returning from her honeymoon already bored by marriage, her new home, and her husband, Hedda turns to relationships and rivalries past to restore her sense of personal freedom and control. Manipulative, passionate, and fiercely individual, Hedda pushes the boundaries of what she can convince others to do in the name of love. One of the world’s most famous literary heroines, Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler shows the world that love in the wrong hands can result in greatness and catastrophe.
