Because of his experiences interning with Central City Opera, the Spoleto Festival USA, the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts and his role as coordinator of internships for graduate students in arts administration at Florida State University, Dr. Antonio C. Cuyler is committed to enhancing the internship experience in arts administration by producing empirically based research. To date he has conducted comparative case studies of the financial impact of internships in arts administration (American Journal of Arts Management), an international survey of students’ expectation of internships (forthcoming in the International Journal of Arts Management) and a case study of a successful internship program in a cultural organization. Currently, he is examining the efficacy of diversity internships in arts management, and a study on factors of internship satisfaction in arts management. He earned degrees from Stetson University (B.M./ES) and Florida State University (FSU) (M.A. & Ph.D.), where he serves as Assistant Professor of Arts Administration.
