College of Fine Arts Celebrates 2026 Seminole 100 Honorees

Seminole 100 is an annual celebration that honors the 100 fastest-growing businesses owned or led by Florida State alumni. On Feb.21, five College of Fine Arts alumni were recognized at this year’s celebration.

Michelle Griffin, Arris General Contractors, Tallahassee, FL

Michelle Griffin, owner of Arris General Contractors in Tallahassee, FL is a 1993 Interior Architecture & Design graduate. The company is a woman‑owned, family‑operated firm specializing in commercial construction, renovations, and project management with an emphasis on clear communication and coordinated delivery. They handle both new builds and restorations, offering end‑to‑end planning, budgeting, and on‑site oversight for projects of all sizes.

Brandi Markiewicz, The CI Group, Orlando, FL

Brandi Markiewicz, is a 2002 graduate of our Interior Architecture & Design program. The CI Group in Orlando provides commercial office furniture and interior solutions, offering workspace planning, design, and material‑handling products for corporate environments. Their Orlando showroom supports businesses with strategic, well‑designed furnishings and services across Florida and beyond.

Geoffrey Kershner and Sarah Proctor, The Academy Center for the Arts, Lynchburg, VA

We are proud to honor not one but two College of Fine Arts graduates, associated with The Academy Center for the Arts, Geoffrey Kershnery, a 2006 Theatre graduate, and Sarah Proctor, a 2004 Interior Architecture and Design graduate. The Academy Center for the Arts in Lynchburg serves as a regional hub for arts, culture, and community engagement, hosting performances, classes, and gallery exhibitions across its historic downtown campus. It offers year‑round arts education and diverse programming that supports creativity and community connection for all ages.

John DuBard, Advanced Systems Design Inc., Tallahassee, FL

Advanced Systems Design Inc. founded and owned by 1973 Theatre graduate, John DuBard. Based in Tallahassee, the company is an IT solutions provider delivering technology, consulting, and management services to federal, state, and local government clients. With more than 40 years of experience, they focus on quality‑driven, innovative solutions supported by a highly skilled technical workforce.
