Institute for Arts & Art Therapy with the Imprisoned
The Institute for Arts & Art Therapy with the Imprisoned (AATI) is dedicated to creating opportunities for incarcerated individuals around the globe to engage with the arts. Through programs across the US and by engaging with partners and collaborating agencies around the world, we are excited to extend our reach and partner with mental health practitioners, artists, students and carceral institutions to expand access to art and art threapy.
Arts programs in prisons are shown to reduce recidivism, increase engagement and problem-solving, and create a safer environment for both staff and inmates.
