Costume Designer Colleen Muscha Honored at World of Wearable Art

World of Wearable Art entry, "Glistening Gothic Tracery".Colleen Muscha, retired Professor and Director of the MFA Costume Design Program at FSU’s School of Theatre, and Christina Marullo (MFA Costume Design 2012) were chosen as finalists in the World of Wearable Art’s International Competition in New Zealand. World of Wearable Art (WOW) is a unique combination of the world’s leading wearable art competition and a spectacular stage show that attracts cutting-edge talent from around the globe.

Muscha’s design, Glistening Gothic Tracery (seen here modeled by Jena Brooks), is made of gold mirror acrylic and black acrylic sheets, cut with laser cutters at the FSU Innovation Hub and the FSU Art Department.

Muscha and Christina Marullo received the First Time Entry Award and its associated monetary prize. The design by Muscha and Marullo is one of 88 finalists representing 20 countries and regions from around the world.
