Assistant Director, Student and Alumni Engagement
College of Fine Arts
Samantha Buxbaum is the Assistant Director for Student and Alumni Engagement for the College of Fine Arts. She is a double alumna of FSU graduating with her B.A. in English Editing, Writing, and Media, in 2018, and her M.S. in Retail Entrepreneurship, Textiles and Apparel in 2021.
Before starting her role in the College of Fine Arts, Samantha began her career in higher education, working in the Office of Admissions as a First-Year Admissions Counselor, and as the program supervisor for the University Ambassadors.
Having had the unique privilege of working with prospective students, current students, and now alumni, she has experienced the entire lifecycle of the Florida State student. She is in the business of relationship building and loves to connect with students and alumni across the Florida State community. Having grown up in a family of musicians and artists herself, Samantha is an avid supporter of the arts and art education, and especially loves supporting localartistic ventures here in Tallahassee.
In her free time, you’ll find her spending time with her fiancé Vincent, most likely trying out the best new restaurant in town, or at home with their cat, Pumpkin.
