Online Ed. D. in Art Education or Museum Education
The online Ed. D. program allows students to major in Art Education or Museum Education & Visitor-Centered Curation. This degree encourages students to identify and develop solutions to problems that impact the fields of art and museum education.
Majors
Art Education students are supported in their efforts to investigate and advance understanding related to innovative applications of art education research, based on individual student interests.
Museum Education & Visitor-Centered Curation. Within this major, the Ed. D. degree aims to prepare edu-curators (a hybrid of education and curation functions) to advance museum theory and practice and to promote innovative and socially engaged leaders and scholars.

Program Overview
With over a 70-year history, the Department of Art Education believes in the intrinsic value of art as a catalyst for social change. We support our students in successfully innovating and making significant contributions to the field.

Admissions Requirements
- Relevant undergraduate and graduate degree
- A 3.5 GPA in master’s coursework is recommended
- Demonstrated record of at least two years of experience related to the area of concentration
