Moments of Grace profiles Wendy Whelan, a longtime principal dancer with the New York City Ballet. Whelan, now the company’s Associate Artistic Director, performed for 30 years and toured the U.S., Europe, and Asia throughout her career. She worked with more choreographers than anyone in the history of the New York City Ballet and partnered with renown choreographer Christopher Wheeldon in 13 ballets. She also worked with Twyla Tharp, among others. Featuring rare home movies, photos, performances and interviews with colleagues, friends, family members from her hometown of Louisville as well as her husband/artist David Michalek, this film explores the life and career of one of our country’s most beloved and talented dancers.
