Amber Svetik
Director of Fine Arts Ticket Office,
School of Theatre
Amber Svetik is thrilled to return to the Fine Arts Ticket Office at Florida State University, this time as the Director! Following an exciting career teaching orchestra and performing as a violinist, Amber had accepted the role of Box Office Supervisor at the Brevard Music Center, full-time, where she worked many summers previously.
In 2014, Amber began her Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree at Florida State University as a Gaston Dufresne Scholarship recipient. She studied string pedagogy with Dr. Kasia Bugaj and violin with Dr. Benjamin Sung. Amber received the undergraduate Presser Scholar Award and graduated in 2018 as a Garnet and Gold scholar. Following graduation she served as the Orchestra Director at Electa Arcotte Lee Magnet Middle School in Bradenton, FL, and led ensembles for the Sarasota Youth Orchestras and Summer Camps.
Then, Amber earned a Master’s degree in Music Education from the University of North Carolina Greensboro under Dr. Rebecca MacLeod. There, her assistantship included teacher training and co-coordinating the Lillian Rauch Beginning Strings Program. Additionally, Amber was a lead instructor for Winston-Salem Symphony’s El Sistema-inspired PLAY music program until she graduated from UNCG in 2023.
Now, Amber is looking forward to working with the Fine Arts Ticket Office team to facilitate fantastic artists for audience members in her familiar community of Tallahassee, FL.
