Monique Jones

Development Coordinator

Monique is a native of Kansas City, Missouri and a new residence to Tallahassee, FL. A former ballerina, she attended the KC Middle School of the Arts, and graduated from Paseo Academy of the Visual & Performing Arts high school with an Arts Certificate in Dance. She’s an alumnus of The University of Iowa where she earned her BA in both Dance and Journalism and moved to Tempe, AZ where she served as the Student Services Assistant at Scottsdale Community College under the leadership of Dr. Virginia Stahl. Relocating to Jacksonville, FL in 2006, she spent seven years as the Dance Coordinator for the Cathedral Arts Project, Dance Director for St. Augustine High School, and later served as the Director of Operations for Missouri Contemporary Ballet in Columbia, Missouri. Before relocation to Tallahassee, Monique was the Events Coordinator for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Missouri, and Office Support IV for the Human Environmental Sciences College and Biomedical Sciences College at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she was honored to work directly with Tommy Thompson, and under the leadership of Dr. Douglas K. Bowles.
