Published February 22, 2018

The Department of Art Education invites you to attend the closing reception of the current William Johnston Gallery exhibition, “Visual Cartographic Explorations of a High School Art Room Assemblage: A Dissertation by Jennifer Hamrock.”

Based on Art Education doctoral student Jennifer Hamrock’s dissertation, the artworks displayed in the exhibition encompass graduate coursework, visual workings through ideas of Hamrock’s research, the early stages of the dissertation, and works from her dissertation study– “the process of an explorative journey.” Hamrock included text from her dissertation to highlight conceptual, theoretical, and methodological underpinnings, as well as a brief summary of her findings.

The closing reception will take place on Friday, February 23rd, from 5:00PM – 7:00PM, at the William Johnston Gallery. Everyone is invited to attend and take advantage a valuable opportunity to meet Hamrock, see her amazing work, and be in great company!
