FSU Art’s Digital Media Fab Lab creates 3D trophies for Florida “Arts and Culture Hero” Awards
The FSU Department of Art’s Digital Media Fab Lab created custom 3D prints to acknowledge Florida State legislator’s advocacy for the arts.
Digital Media Labs Manager Caitlin Driver and Digital Media Fab Lab Volunteer Craig Moore collected 3D Scans of drawing figures in postures that represented individual characteristics of each legislator’s personality. The 3D scans were edited, combined with personalized 3D modeled bases, 3D printed in PLA plastic, sanded, and painted.
Florida Cultural Alliance’s CEO Jennifer Jones awarded the trophies to the legislators during the Florida Cultural Alliance’s Arts Advocacy Rally at the Florida State Capital on January 26th, 2022.
