Monday – Friday until March 25, 2019
William Johnston Building, first floor
The Florida State School of Theatre MFA Costume Design Program encompasses the art and skills needed for an effective costume rendering, thorough study of costume history and research techniques, the design process which includes collaboration with the director and other designers, and a variety of costume technology skills of patterning, dyeing and painting of fabrics, millinery, crafts, etc.
Graduate students’ work in this exhibit includes a sampling of costumes, hats, and headpieces along with some renderings and production photos from FSU productions designed thesis projects. The constructed pieces were created by a team of undergraduate and graduate costume assistants, costume staff and faculty. Many individuals take part during the construction process to create each finalized costume.
