Jennifer Guy-Hudson, Chair of the Dean’s Advisory Council
Jennifer M. Guy-Hudson (B.S. 1997) is the Committee Attorney for the Education & Employment Committee for Florida House of Representatives. She works in the areas of school safety, student mental health and educator misconduct. Additionally, she has over ten years’ experience in health care policy having practiced as in-house counsel to a large health insurer and as the state policy director for a national patient advocacy organization. Guy-Hudson worked for the Florida House of Representatives under then-Speaker Marco Rubio as Health Care Committee staff. She also served as Legislative Affairs staff at the Office of Management and Budget for the administration of President George W. Bush.
Guy-Hudson currently serves as Chair of the Florida State University College of Fine Arts Dean’s Advisory Council. She previously served two terms as a board member for the FSU Alumni Association including several years as a member of the Executive Committee. Other previous service includes Chair of the March of Dimes, Florida Chapter Board, Chair of the Health Care Committee for the Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and leadership roles for the Tallahassee and Miami Federalist Society Chapters. She is a Lifetime member of the FSU Alumni Association and a member of Seminole Boosters as well as the Softball Coaches Club.
Guy-Hudson received her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and her law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida.
