Noor’s previous engagements include her accomplishments as assistant to Research Development Coordinator, Evangeline Ciupek, at the FSU Office of Research Development (ORD). Last Fall, Noor planned and managed a university-wide collaborative research workshop for international faculty and researchers interested in international collaborations and Fulbright scholarship. The event featured a discussion panel led by distinguished speakers, with an opportunity to network and connect during the reception hour. Noor also helped advance strategic initiatives such as Collaborative Collision – an accelerated team development program where interdisciplinary teams explore complex solutions to complex challenges and compete for up to $100,000. Noor’s role in the program included being a Connector pod host, maintaining research notes for teams, editing videos, and capturing B-roll. Her other special projects at ORD included writing articles for the Research Development Digest, creating graphics for ORD-NSF workshops, and transcribing podcast episodes for the Journeys in Research podcast.
In her free time, Noor enjoys reading historical fiction, journaling, learning how to skateboard, and running along FSU’s Legacy Walk.
