Responsibilities

Support Project manager in planning and implementing international exchange conference and exhibit activities including:

  • Draft and distribute written communication to professional groups
  • Graphic design and project marketing communications
  • Support conference and exhibit proposal and jury review processes
  • Resource research (conference and virtual exhibit technologies)
  • Technology use coordination (conference and exhibit platforms)
  • Local exhibit design and installation support
  • Community outreach to local agencies and school groups
  • Coordinate art supply ordering and organization of materials
  • Coordination of local exhibit events
  • Adherence to grant policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • FSU Student status and availability throughout the 1-year job period (May 2021- March 2022, including Summer 2021)
  • Strong writing skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Experience with graphic design software
  • Art exhibit design and installation experience
  • Experience with community engagement (educational or therapeutic activities)

 

Preferred

  • Experience with digital conference and exhibit platforms
  • Master’s degree

Other Information

The Learning from COVID 19 Experiences Project:

The paramount aim for this Learning from COVID 19 Experiences project is addressing the significant mental health consequences of the global COVID 19 pandemic and identifying effective methods for supporting resilience among youth and families through the professional exchanges of US and Russian art therapists, mental health professionals, and educators. Program events will serve to:

  • Cultivate exchanges among mental health professionals and art therapists in US and Russia to support development of best creative practices that will reduce pandemic distress and promote resilience of youth and families
  • Generate exchanges among art therapists regarding increasing youth and family access to mental health services through the ethical and effective facilitation of telehealth art therapy interventions.
  • Demonstrate creative processes employed by art therapists to reduce distress and cultivate personal resilience during pandemic times
  • Foster connections among Russian and US art therapists for ongoing collaborative work related to art therapy and mental health for youth and families
  • Demonstrate how community-based exhibits and art engagement programs can be designed and implemented to simultaneously acknowledge pandemic related distress and support youth and family resilience.
